Heading up to the Clearwater this saturday and was curious if anyone has been up there over the past week or two. I heard it was doing good so I am hoping to maybe catch my first steelhead. YA RIGHT, who am I kidding, two seasons and no stinkin steelhead yet :REALLYMAD . Technique is getting better though and I feel I am gaining information on a daily basis that is assisting me in expanding my chances??

Patrick, I visited a fly shop Monday,"The Traditional sportsman" in downtown Lewiston and got the latest from the shop owner, Mark Lamb. He said the fishing was good, but that the fish seemed to have moved upriver. Cherry Lane bridge and up. Hot fly was a pattern called "Beats Me".
Leroy Hyatt, a local tyer and fisherman works there on Thursdays. Give them a call for the latest. Number at the store is 208-746-6688.

good luck and let me know how you do.
