Thanks Denny. They want $100 to fix it. I told them I'd buy a TFO before they see another dime from me.
My understanding is Powell rods have a unconditional warranty. I broke a 6wt TiMax several years ago and sent it in with $25 and had a new rod within a week. That was the second rod I sent in broken and both times they sent me a new rod.
wow - I'll call them again. Maybe I had a clueless guy answer the phone.
