I would like to tie some Silvey's Extractors but looking at photo's of this fly leaves me guessing at how to get a wide profile and still get good movement. Any instructions would be greatly appreciated. I've not found any searching the internet.

The bulk is made by the palmered hackle between the tail and the spey hackle in the head, you can even use some marabou palmered for more bulkiness and movement.

Thanks Ben, that photo shows a very sparse tie and is for me to see how to tie it, the others I've seen haven't been quite so sparse.

thanks for the suggestion. I'll give it a try later tonight. I've done something similar sans the Amherst and lead eyes.
