Anyone have a recipe for a "Beats Me"? I hear it works well on our rivers for steelhead. Thanks.
This is the first I've heard of it. Where are you from? Is it a local favorite?
I'm from all the way down there in Pullman Wa. Its supposed to be a Clearwater River fly. So that's about all I know.
You might contact Mike at Red Shed Fly Shop in Peck, Idaho. If anyone knows the Clearwater Flies, it's Mike. www.redshedflyshop.com

I was hitting Google today and found a photo and recipe for the fly. Can't get the URL to work though when I type it here. On Google type in Beats Me Fly.
Hope this helps.
I think you were one letter off on the url. Try this http://www.danica.com/flytier/tduncan/beats_me.htm
Yup, You're right Burkemeister. Missed the t. Thomas does tie a nice fly doesn't he.
Yes he does. Wish I could tie that well!
Thanks all. Thinking about maybe hitting the Grande ROnde next week... Maybe I can tie a few before then. :beer1:
