Fishing was great yesterday. Bluebird weather and cooperative fish.

Bob: Nope. My fly rods were on the other side of the boat. But at the lake we were on, Merwin, it doesn't matter what you use. Although, I do fish with a barbless fly there alot. And I do fly fish Coldwater Lake alot also with flies that I tie. Some of them are 58 years old and still are holding together. It's just that now I fish several ways. Sometimes I fly fish which is when I always do C&R, and at other times I use other methods and once in awhile keep the fish but not always. And thank you Paul for the compliment. They really are tasty on the barby. Yep, Caveman, once in awhile you'll see some dead fish on this sit from me.

Thank you Peyton. Yes, the kokes are very nice in that lake. They averaged 13 to 14-1/2 inches and were real deep fish which is quite good for this early in the year. We were able play 20, but 5 came unbuttoned while we were trying to get them to the net. We also released 3 smaller ones to get bigger we hope, and brought home 11 for the barby, and missed 3 more when they hit I think. All in all it was a special day on the water. I'm looking forward to getting back up there soon.

It was not any intention to cause any ill feeling towards anyone. I fly fish alot, but I have also discovered there are other ways to catch fish too. I was just sharing a teriffic day on the water with anyone who might appreciate it, and I am all for sharing the joys to be had on the waters of this beautiful land of ours.

I am grateful the owner of this site isn't narrow minded or lives in a cave.
