Ben had "off the chart" sea-run cutthroat fishing

Nicely written Ben. Congrats. Next time you'll have to get off the dark side :)

Leland.
Hi again, I will for sure go top side but had to master the sub-surface first. However, I was really tempted to head back and pick one of those up. I am a top water fisherman at heart and spend much of my time doing just that. Hope to see you next time and thanks for your assistance the other day.

Leland's Popper can produce miracles and I don't use it nearly enough, as I have a couple patterns I've been hung up on for awhile now. But, I was out yesterday on the Hood Canal. Fishing was slow and hasn't been very productive in a spot I like to go to. So, without a touch on my subsurface pattern, I decided it was time to put on Leland's Popper. About 5 casts later, a nice cutthroat slammed it good from nowhere. It wasn't a big fish, just under 14 inches, but at least I got some action! I only caught a few small ones after that, but I will be using his popper more often now, finally!
