HOW THICK DO YOU MAKE YOUR STONES NED?? IF THEY ARE THE THINNER STYLE, I WOULD GO WITH WEIGHTED. IF THEY ARE THE FATTY THICK ONES LIKE KAUFMANS, I WILL GO WITH UNWEIGHTED.

I THINK THE UNWEIGHTED THICK ONES RIDE BETTER THROUGH THE WATER.
    JUST MY .02

I AM ITCHING TO GO FISHING, CANT WAIT FOR THE WARMER WEATHER AND THE FLIES IN THE MAIL.

Bummer, didn't see this before it filled. TyTheTier, if someone has to bail I can fill in. I have a great Montana Nymph variation that is killer at Lone Lake.

    Ty,

I think you forgot yourself. So instead it would be 9 flies. Still a pretty small swap. I say let Islander in and make it an even ten flies.

Also, they are pretty thick bent hook # 8. the abdomen is thick rubber tubing with olive oil in it (a cool trick I learned from the local shop) which thorax of thick black dubbing, turkey, duck flank and biots sticking out all over.

OK, so I think I've decided on a variation of a size 12 gilled V-Rib nymph I've had success with in the past. It's more or less my own pattern, but if it sounds too close to something one of you other guys had in mind, just PM me and we'll figure it out.

    Off to the bench,

I say let Islander in so we have 10 tiers.
I will be sending 11, so the extra is for the swap meister.

ANY OBJECTIONS TO LETTING ISLANDER IN??? I WOULDNT THINK THERE WOULD BE, SO I ADDED HIM IN. IF SOMEONE HAS A PROBLEM, WE COULD PUT HIM ON STANDBY INCASE OF A DROPOFF.

NED, THE FLY SOUNDS GOOD. I WILL GO UN WEIGHTED. WHAT DOES THE OLIVE OIL DO??? THAT SOUNDS LIKE IT WOULD LEAVE A SHEEN ON THE WATER WHEN IT WAS FISHED.

You inject the olive oil into the tubing and it kindof blows up the tube and fills it out nicely. The really cool thing is when you use it with lighter colors cause you can put flash under it and it really lights up the tubing. I will send you a green bugger with the nymph so you can see.

    Thanks for the swap Ty.
