Staying with some friends at a cabin on the Bogachiel this weekend. Planning to fish for summer run steelies. Any reports of recent? Waters West in Port Angeles reports that fishing is good, even with floating lines and dries. Can anyone confirm??
Good snowpack late this year, very good flows all spring and into summer, have kept the rivers in nice shape, small spike in flows today. Generally above average flows for this time of year, a bit cooler than average water temps, more oxygen. it all bodes well for the fish, the spring spawners, the summer runs etc. The river, really all of them here right now, is enminently fishable and you should have very good water this weekend according to local conditions now and the forecasts. Ordinarily I turn down summer run trips much of this time of year due to low flows and higher water temperatures. This is a very lucky fishy year. Well, depending upon which end of the hook you are on when you feel that happy little yank!
great fishing on the boggie last weekend. Our group of 4 anglers hooked 7 fish, 2 landed...10-12 pounders. The water was in great shape for swinging flies.
Now there ya go! Nice way to get out there and git er done! Thanks for sharing how your trip went too!
