I've fished Rocky Ford at 18 degrees. It's not as bad as you think because the relatively warm water melts frozen guides quickly.

    Are your guides frozen, Jim?

5 here this morning; very enjoyable with the sore throat I picked-up. Didn't take the dog long to finish his business this morning; I'll have to check for golden arches after it gets light . . .

I was downtown Seattle yesterday, with 699,999 of my closest friends. Warm by your standards maybe but pretty cold for here. Last night was low teens and has warmed up to 22 now. Do what you have to do and keep an eye on your family and friends.

13 this morning. I guess I'll be tying fly' s or doing some reloading. The wife might appreciate some house cleaning! Hope you feel better Jim. I don't think Maggie will get her walk again today, she's sad, but posted up in front of the fireplace.

Eleven degrees right now in Dash Pt. Was in Forks yesterday and we called it quits because of the 20 degrees and 15 MPH winds. Hypothermia to happen to three gray beards like us. Bummer. Even the fish are hunkering down.

It was 3 when I got up at 5:30, 2 about 1/2 hr ago. I can see some sun shine, it will be warming right up to, maybe 18 today.
I'm getting to old for this shit.

Come to Montana. The sun is shining bright. It is supposed to get above zero today. In sure hope so. This cold shit is driving me nuts. I can tolerate zero because my truck will start then. But in these cold temps I don't even try.

I checked the temps (from my phone, in safety of my warm house over here in WA) on our MT property early this morning ()..... - 26. that's 26 below not including wind chill. That just sounded wrong.
