    That does have potential practical and entertainment value. And, if you go outside & fire 2 shots in the air all of the bugs will leave the area . . .

    Did some research; supposedly Kosher salt is the preferred performance load, with table salt in second place, and sea salt last.

    From what I've read, they shred the wings & turn them into big ants, vulnerable to death by shoe sole. They're hell on all soft-bodied bugs however & eliminate spiders effectively. I'll let you know . . . now if I still lived on the wet side, garden patrol for slugs would become an instant safari . . .

    Gentlemen, this appears to be one of those "must have" items!

    However, two thoughts... First, Jim! We could offer guided big game hunts in the California redwoods for the dreaded & dangerous banana slug (wonder if Boone & Crockett has a category...); second, and I'll bet this would squelch the above idea... The pistol grip probably makes them illegal in NY, CA, and CT...:mad:
