Is it wise to bring a pontoon boat to Dusty lake? I've heard that the hike into the lake is a long an old road. Is there any chance of wheeling one into the lake?
Or is it a better idea to stick with hoofing the old float tube?
when i went i didnt take the old road (i have no idea how u would get to that side) i went for the trail from above it and it was like 3/4 of a mile of carrying my float tube with a few drop off's of like 3 feet. so going the way i went might not be that fun with a pontoon.
The road is gated, it's several miles from the gate to the lake. Stick to the float tubes and the short walk.
