Hope you don't have to get used to disappointment...they were out of the IPA earlier this week. The "Black IPA" was okay but not as good as 21st Amendment Back in Black or maybe I was just thirsty for a "real" IPA.

Least desirable: Longhammer IPA - Budweiser with a single, individual, dry hop in it.

Not a fan of Deschutes Chain Breaker White IPA. Two great styles that do not mix.

I used to work there, and was the guy doing the dry hopping on that beer. I had to haul 200lbs of Cascade pellet hops up to the top of the tallest tanks there (you can see them sticking out of the roof), and pour all 200lbs of them through a hole about 1" in diameter. I don't miss that task one bit.

Two-Tun (yes, it's spelled Tun). Easy drinking IPA with a sweet finish.

Really? 64 responses to a question about regional beers including ID and no one called out Laughing Dog? Alpha Dog, Devil Dog, DogZilla Black...jeez, I need one now.

Totally agreed. I was optimistic, but am disappointed to say the least.

Another shout out to Black Raven's Wisdom Seeker IPA. Absolutely perfect for a hop head like me, but has a nicely rounded floral and citrus complexity.

Some other great IPAs, in no particular order:

    -Terminal Gravity
    -Ninkasi Total Domination
-Sierra Nevada's Torpedo Double IPA is fantastic.
-You can usually get a decent IPA at McMenamins, depending on the location.

Found another good one: Skagit Brewing Sculler's IPA. It's a good option if you're going to Pass Lake. They're located right next to the old grain elevator in Mount Vernon.
