Finally caught my first one!

After three years of trying I finally caught my first steelhead! A hatchery buck on the Cowlitz at Blue Creek. I know it's not as exciting as catching a wild one on the Hoh but I figure the fish gods are having me work up to that. Thanks to everyone who posts here for all the great info and support!

Congratualtions! Don't dispair; most steelhead, hatchery or wild, aren't exciting. What I discovered is that most steelheaders are excitable, so that covers for the fish's performance.
