First one of the season. Of course I walked right by it and the wife snagged it behind my back.
Great find, good to know that hunters still have gatherers for partners.
Slow shed hunting today. Only found one and again the wife saw it. Good sign saw quite a few blue grouse and some ruffed grouse
Flowers finally starting to show
Thats pretty kewl ribka. What do you do with them once you find them?
Good to hear you're seeing grouse!
The elk have started leaving the feeding stations. A view from the kitchen window this morning. I counted over 100 head.
Feeding on the S slopes.Looking forward to archery elk season in 2011...
I have a pile of them. Have to figure out a project
I'll help ya make a lamp. Great hat rack, rod rack, door handles, towel rack, rack a rack, the list goes forever.
Ribka, love the view from the kitchen window! Wow, that is stunning!
Short hike today. Found one more
Also stumbled into an area with the remains of 4 elk and piles of cat scat and hair. I think an area of where a big cat hangs out. I cut his track a few times this past Winter xc skiing. Never able to catch him.
Here kitty, kitty, kitty
Nice, Tom. Very nice!
BTW, I have 2 of those red dogs..... I've had Vizslas for many, many years. We need to hook up and hunt them together this fall. We talked about it a few times but just could no put it together. Mostly due to fishing priorities....
I know a knife maker that may buy some from you for handles if you are looking to sell.
