I just got back from the Wenatchee. We fished below Monitor and rand around up to Cashmere looking for decent water. It's solid rapids. Most of the usual slack water is tearing right now. It was very treacherous wading. It was pretty much just casting practice.

It was very light, the hills around us got a light dusting, but there was barely any making it down to the bottom of the valley. It was a wonderful morning, not too cold, light precip, just way too much water.

Well we fished hard today (4 dudes) and we tapped no steelhead face..I swung my new 6 weight Spey (epic) but didn't see or feel a thing. Colder than a witches tit! We're going to hit it again tomorrow. (METHOW). Beer was cold and river was gorgeous but like others mentioned the waters are high and the normal awesome slots are tough to reach without your water wings.
