Chris, I notice that when I am "not" logged in, there is new google ad box in
the right side of the original post inside the thread. But when I am logged in
it goes away. I think this is a bit too intrusive and gets in the way of
our interaction with each other. On the post with the guy for the CDL
job, there were all these ads, I think that goes just a bit too far.
Why can't we just leave it like it has been with the bar up top?
This might bother new users.... like it does me.
Jason I don't think it can be undone unless Chris wants to buy-out the ad space. VBulletin has canned ads by google that relate tl the topic or to the type of board. It's kinda out of his hands unless he wants to pony up some $$. Sorry, not trying to hijack.
Jason, thanks for the feedback. Know this... Things on in flux with WFF and no layout or feature is final so I'll keep that in mind. Buck is right also in that it was a new simple feature by vBulletin with the ads placements which changes between those logged in and those who are not. Haven't had much time to alter the code they use yet, but I will. Until then I'll use the simple choice they have to calm it down a bit with the lesser option. Done.
now on the photo gallery, the google ad(kayak) pushes your sponsor ads(pacific fly fishes) to the bottom so you can see them unless you scroll down,,,,,, should reverse that to put sponsors on top.
changed the gallery around but put the more impactful google ads back up on the forum. it's for a short period until I change out that ads with something else. The lower option ads cannot afford the new server in the works. You folks are just going to have to deal with it.
I used to complain about all the ads. But now I have learned to live with it. They don't bother me anymore. Plus Haveing ads probably helps pay the internet bills. I think.
Jim
