I'm in Missoula and bored with the thousands of miles of fishable trout water and single hand casting. I made the mistake of trying Steelhead fishing on the Salmon river in ID the last three weekends and hooked up with my first Steelhead. After destroying my shoulder doing single hand spey casts and roll casts, I want a spey rod for a new challenge.

I'm looking at 7 and 8 weight Spey setups. I couldn't find any info on the Hardy rods. Really don't know much about this whole scene. Likely making a pilgrimage to The Red Shed on The Clearwater tomorrow. Basically the rod is going to be for Steelhead around here, back home in Seattle (occasionally), and dredging deep pools on the Clark Fork for huge fish.

    Any thoughts?
