Here's a question. Will any lakes open in the Columbia Basin this weekend that weren't already? In other words, will the opener realistically take any pressure off the already open lakes?

My sincerely friendly advice to all is to try and enjoy yourselves at one of the "opener" lakes in the Methow and Okanogan Valleys. You owe it to yourselves! :WINK

    Fish till ya drop.
    Then suck it up
    and fish the evening hatch.

I gather from your posts that you fish the quality lakes and the answer is NO the general opener does NOT take any pressure off the quality lakes. The clientelle is different on each.... Kin you say Bubba?

The only thing that will take pressure off our increasingly crowded quality lakes is convincing F&G to convert more lakes to restricted limit quality fishing. They like to sell liscences and have little interest in providing quality fishing for SPORT.

Write or E-mail your director of F&G and tell him how crowded our good fishing lakes are becoming and what a waste it is to manage lakes with rich food chains like Jameson,Fish Lake,W.Medical,etc. for 8" planter fish when they could be growing 20" trout for C&R fishing with 1-2 fish limits.
They will do what they always have done untill they get pressure to change! Fly fishing clubs where are you??? If you speak up you have much more weight than individual fishermen do.
