I've had a 3wt blank sitting in the corner for far too long and I finally got off my butt and started working on it. Something I've always struggled with is holding the guides in place on the blank before I start wrapping them. I recall in the past cutting thin strips of masking tape to wrap the guide feet in place, and last night I was trying to use some thin tape that I think may be old pinstriping tape or something. The tape doesn't seem to want to hold very well, though. So what do y'all use to hold those feetses in place until you can get some thread wrapped over them? Just wondering if I'm missing something more effective.
