I'm feeling soooo inadequate (perhaps we need a rods/years fished measure)...here's the current line up:

    4# 8'6" Loomis Streamdance Metolius (4 piece)
    6# 9' Albright A5 (5 piece)
    8# 9'6" Sage XP (2 piece)
    8# 13'9" Sage VT2 spey (4 piece)

    For me this is a 4/3 R/Yf...

Next up...a saltwater 6#, a 2# or 3# for small streams, and if I really get into the spey thing I can imagine that list will grow too.

I sold a bunch and here is my inventory:

    10' 6 wt. GLX Classic
10' 8 wt. Native Run GLX
    10' 8 wt. Redington RS3
    9'6 9 wt. XP
    Scott 9' 8 wt. V2
9' 5 wt. GLX Max Line Speed
    14' 8/9 GLX Dredger spey
Cortland 7'6 3/4, one of my first dry fly rods, sweet to this day.
    TFO TiCR 9' 5 wt.
    2 custom bamboos
I've got several other unmentionable rods which I use to teach casting.

...so probably 15+ and they all get used

Not really. I had a lot but over time you end up getting rid of the ones you don't use. This is one thing I don't count along with the fish I catch. But I just bought another one. A 9' 5wt 4 piece TFO Professional. And it is a cannon. Now I have three rods all four piece ones and I think that these will be all that I use for the rest of my days. I also have three others that will just sit there. Maybe I'll just sell them.

By the way. Who keeps bringing up these old posts. Just let sleeping dogs lie. These old polls should be left to die.

These seem to meet my current needs:

8 weight Orvis Trident TLS 968-4
    6 weight Sage XP 697-4
    5 weight Homer Jennings Bamboo 7 1/2"
    4 weight Winston LT5, 8' 9"

I'm in the market for a 8 or 8 1/2 bamboo rod to fish wet flies with.

Their all fun but the JWF, 697, & 896 are the heart of the lineup. Skagit would be next. (OTH the 5 piece is handy....and so it goes.)

I have a total of 27 Fly rods, But then again I am a Part time flyfishing Guide and instructor. My rods range from $40 Martins to a few $600 Sages, and one Thomas & Thomas. I have them from a 2WT up to a 10WT and I am looking to by a 12 WT in the next few Months.
