The Wolf Lodge Inn just outside of Coeur d'Alene. This place rocks.
Not on 90, but close enough. Best chicken I've ever eaten. I ate here last spring and have daydreamed about it a couple times a month since.
Tacos Los Pollos, in Topenish.
Good recommendations here!
I second Fiesta en Jalisco for good mex grub. While in Ellensburg in the morning The Palace has one of the best chicken fried steak I've ever had. Fill you up and keep you fishing hard on the Yak all day long.
B & B in Soap Lake is good too.
Had my first and only encounter with Rocky Mountain Oysters there! (not great, but their steaks are very good.) I like the Cottage Cafe in Cle Elum for breakfast as well as the Palace in E'burg. For dinner in Cle Elum (which I will be doing on Thursday before a guided trip with Whitey on Friday) I like either Mama Valones or Lentine's for Italian food-both very good! Rick
One more: Owens butcher shop in Cle Elum for homemade beef jerk and pepperoni/cheddar cheese sticks. Soooo friggin goooood…..
Since Fall City, WA has fallen into the mix, if you are a fan of corned beef hash for breakfast (or lunch), the Fall City Roadhouse has THE BEST HASH EVER! Thumb-sized chunks of moist corned beef, large pieces of seasoned potato, green peppers and onions, and the kicker is two soft poached eggs on top with hollandaise sauce. If that's not enough, their "ugly biscuit" with raspberry jam will surely fill any space left in the stomach. It is quite honestly the best breakfast anywhere in America. No lie. And that's NOT a fish story.
You never had a breakfast burrito from the bus on Montana street !!!
The Oasis in Manhattan, K-2 Cafe in Belgrade, OK Cafe in St.Regis & Thirsty Turtle deep fried pickles in Big Timber !!!!!
Couldn't agree MORE! I buy both wherever I stop in....
The Muzzle Loader in Billings has the only chicken fried steak I've eaten that rivals the Mount Vernon Cafe in WA.
I'll third this, and note that my favorite product of theirs is their landjaeger sausage.
Another vote for Owens. Last time I was there they were out of Landjaeger! (pepperoni and jerky kind of made up for it!)
I've had mixed results on dinners at Durango's in Superior and Quinn's was pricey when I last checked. The River Edge Motel in Alberton is putting itself out as a good steak place (I've eaten there and thought so) and the Nine Mile House (nine mile exit just east of Alberton) has a great rep for prime rib. Lots of good places in Zootown, we like Johnny Carino's for great Italian and price. Fuddruckers, Outback and the Montana Club are also good and all these are on Reserve street near the freeway. Five Guys burgers is by the Van Buren exit. We like the Big Pine in Pinehurst, Id. for huckleberry shakes and a good burger.
Two Burger joints worth checking out in the Coeur d'Alene Idaho area... and a great spot in Spokane.
Waddell's Pub and Grill
Both are awesome spots and very different. Hudson's is a classic burger joint that I don't think has ever changed. Roger's has great burgers that are made to order. Waddell's is just awesome! Great food, wings and beer!
Just returned from Cle Elum on a guided Yakima trip (awesome fishing with 4 to the boat, all over 15", one over 20") and my friend and I tried the Stillwater Restaurant/Winery in Suncadia. I will say WOW for the food and wine! If you are looking for a nice, upscale restaurant (maybe your wife/gf along?) this is the place! Rick
