A slow strip retrieve off a full floater in frog water would also work on the humpies, chum, and coho. Putting the bead up front may be worth playing with for more of the ESL approach - would also make it more jiggy I think.

I need to tie this for this weekend. bead up front an one on back like the photo. hmm, that sound good. if I can't get a chum on the fly rod I'll break out the gear and see if that works. wow, I am hooked.

I frigging love this fly! I bet you you could do some serious Steel slaying with it! I would totally fish that for a full day! I really would.

You could probably do some serious Cutty slaying with it as well. Call it "the whole package" fly or "the dirty". It has everything!

That bead has too much fluff on it.

As requested, less fluff...a little bit more weight to reach to previously unreachable lies, and double hook to increase the chances of hooking into that fish of a lifetime!!!

Isn't that what skagit casting is for? I thought that was how people fished gear but still kept their cred?

Spending time on an internet bulletin board just to criticize how someone else spends their time while not on an internet bulletin board..... winning! Besides, you know there are people tying those things up and fishing them now, hell they are also catching fish on them.
