if salmon doint feed in rivers what type of fly do u use

    :-( i have been trying to hook one i ahve been finding small fish:AA
    some big fish no salmon or stealhead :'(

    Salmon and steelhead usually strike out of agression rather than because they are feeding. Hot pink, chartuese, red, and orange seem to be the colors for salmon depending on the species. Pinks, Chum, and Coho are most likely to take a fly. Steelhead are a lot tougher. There is a wide variety of flies, colors, ect. that work for them. Its best just to experiment. Good luck,
