    This is going to be an interesting experience. Boat is loaded and all hooked up. 10 wt rod. Huge reel. 10" fly. 30' of T-17.......... Bring on the lings baby!!!!!

    Your fly looks way better than mine. Tying that much onto a hook is new for me, so I'm not too proud of the heads on mine. But they say these fish don't care and I hope they are right. Good luck to you.

    Damn! Now THAT is a fly . . . makes apportioning the materials fairly straight-forward . . . looks like a package of each color per creation. Looks good; be careful out there.

    There is nothing at all wrong with those babies. This has been my first go at tying anything that big as well. Hell, just fitting a 4/0 hook into my vise for the first time a few weeks ago felt pretty strange. Using kevlar thread takes some getting used to as well. The heads on my clouser type flies arent super pretty either, but I don't really think it will matter. I like the Fishskulls cause they cover up that slop ;)

    And if stll relevant, shear pins. I'm used to old outboards, so I dont know if it applies :)

    Well it appears I've tracked down a prop and hub kit. The hub kit was the difficult part to find. Now hopefully I can get this taken care of this afternoon and we can try again in the morning.
