The City of Redmond - Parks and Recreation has a class offered – An Introduction to Fly Fishing, taught by well known Woodinville Guide and Outfitter, DICK LANGE.

The class – An Introduction to Fly Fishing - Course Number 37057, will be a ten week course, held every Thursday evening at 6:30 for two hours, starting on March 31st . Dick will introduce the student to entomology, habitat, knots, casting techniques, basic fly tying and stream reading. When done, the student will know the basics of fly casting, stream reading, and will know when, where, and why to fish, and which fly patterns would work best.

All classes will be held at the Redmond Senior Center Room 111 (8703 160th Avenue NE, Redmond – Behind the Redmond Police Department), except for the Fly Casting Lesson and the Morning on the Stream field trips. These two classes will be held at the river – one to learn fly casting, and the other to actually practice what you have learned and catch a trout. Field trip dates will be decided by weather.
