That's interesting, because we have lakes like that (even with watterdogs-kinda like a salamander) and the fish just get abnormal in size, but not that long.
If space may be a factor, since the lake is great. Another factor is the lack of fishing pressure on Lake Strobel. Most anglers who come there, only practice catch and release.
It's been on my bucket list for years, but just got bumped to the top, along with sea run browns in Patagonia. The water must have alot of minerals, because the encrusted rocks look like omak lake rocks. Actually, the lake in general reminds me alot of omak lake, except the cutthroat don't jump as much as do rainbows.
