Announcing The 17th Annual Kitsap Fly Anglers Holiday Party
The president, Kitsap Fly Anglers, invites you to join her in celebration of the season at
Island Lake Park Community Center, Silverdale, Wednesday, 2 January 2008, 6:00 P.M.
We’re going to try it again! We will get started about an hour before what would be
our regular meeting time (6:00 P.M.). Mr. Dave and Mr. "Ray will be providing the
music again this year. Show up about 5:30 or 6 o'clock with a can or two (or ten) of
food for the food bank and in exchange we will give you a ticket for the door prize.
Bring a side dish, your significant other, kids, friends, whomever. Before dinner is
served at 7:00, you can scoop up a bunch of tickets for the drawings that will
commence at 8:00. The proceeds from these drawings support Club activities like
the tying contest, conservation projects, the Holiday party and help pay for the
excellent speakers and guests that come talk to us throughout the year. The Club will supply the turkey, ham, gravy, vegetable, dressing, bread, and soft drinks (B.Y.O.B). Then after an ample supper, you settle in with a glass of port and
a slice of pie in the grand hall in front of the fire to participate in the titillating drawings and silent auction. Oh, what a night! If the first letter of your last name
begins with:
A.-L, Bring a Salad
M-Z, Bring a Dessert
There is no "RSVP yet again this year, we're just going to buy a few cans of Spam and throw it into a room full of feral hogs with a rusty can opener. Good luck, we'll
see how hungry you (and they) are.
The 2006 and 2007 Fly Plates will be available this year. A guided float trip with Dennis Dickson, Books and fly tying materials, fly tying tools and a vise, and personally tied flies by the millions. Speaking of which ,please remember to tie at least a dozen of your favorite secret, killer, can't miss patterns and bring them to the shindig. Please put them in a plastic box or container of some type if you can and consider making up a little note to include with your flies that has your name and pattern names or information on the pattern.
