Our two grandsons, ages 6 & 9 will be visiting us in Seattle for the month of June. "We want to go fishing with grandpa!" I have plenty of rods, reels and a drift boat, but what I need are suggestions for a reasonably small quiet lake with a boat ramp that may have been given a dose of stockers this spring. All suggestions gratefully accepted. Photos may follow............

It's not the quietest lake out there, but I enjoy Ballinger. It's close enough to Seattle that the kids won't have to spend much time in the car either.

Lake Serene in Mukilteo may be a good match. Pretty small and very shallow. It got a pretty good sized plant for it's size and is probably still fishing pretty well.

Throw some family camping in the mix and hit Deception Pass State Park. Magical place of beauty and fishing.

We spent our first night in WA camping there in 1971. "Magical" pretty much sums it up.
