Are you all OK if we end up with 8-9 tiers?
Since the due date is about a month away think will keep it open for about another week or so.

I'm fine with that; I already started tying and got the ugly ones out of the way.

Sounds good to me. I've got my pattern "tweaked" for this swap and all materials ready to go.

Ok, I'll do it. Size 16 or 14 inverted pattern tied on a thin wire scud hook. This is gonna hurt me.

I'll close up after the end of this weekend with whatever number the final is.
A couple more tiers would be great, but doesn't matter to me...we've got a good group as-is.
Will PM mailing details once closed.
Got a few hours planned for the tying vice tomorrow.

This thread's got quiet but will give until tomorrow, Monday then closing it up.
I just pm'd a few past swap bug tiers looking for a couple more.
Experimental ties for me so far.

Ok, so this is what I'm tying and the few I've tried are super sexy looking in the water glass. The funny thing is I had the same idea years ago, but couldn't figure out away to float the top and back of the fly without interfering with the hook eye. I did develop a pattern that used foam parachute material and it did work but it was a bit more bulky than I liked. I never thought for a second to use CDC. The great thing about this pattern, it that it really gives that perfect profile of the midge as they attempt to break through the surface film using both their head and tail.
