Cure for the common "Combat Beach". Cheers.
Be careful don't get stuck there DrCrush!
So how wet do you have to get that Toyota in order to launch there?
The world's longest sentence. Rant on, bro!
Picking a fight with the guy that posts about your local hot spot or favorite piece of water,or whatever, just guarantees that all 50,000+ members are going to stop by.
I have cringed at seeing my favorite spots mentioned on these boards in the past.Did not react and post slid down the board.
There have been a couple occasions where somebody has had the gall to ask a question concerning one of my zipperlips.Instead of attacking I offer them all the info I have to remove post. This has actually led to a couple of cool fishing trips. But I am always willing to share with genuine people with a love and respect for the out doors.
Edit: I quit fishing No Point When We were literaly racing 100mph+,at 4am, to get one of the handfull of parking spots at the light house. That was twenty plus years ago.I think Drew Hawthorn had more to do with spoiling that spot than a post on a board in 2014.
Back to the question about kayak fishing at PNP - I have a couple of times... just drag my boat across the road from the lot and off I go. Easy launch. I've floated with and paddled through the flotilla a couple of times without incident. More problems from the buzz bombers if I get a little too close to shore. The scariest, though, was when an elephant seal surfaced about 25ft from my boat with a large flounder in his mouth.... he was much bigger than my boat - I dropped my fly rod and grabbed that paddle damn fast.
Really, unless you're targeting Chinook I don't think there's that much advantage from a boat there.
The one good part about this thread is that I now feel I've joined stellar company (Leland) in getting absolutely FLAMED for mentioning a well known beach in a fishing report. Now I just don't do fishing reports. I don't choose to step on anyone's toes and start a rant-fest like this...
I agree with what you are saying Alexander, but once again it's not just about THIS beach THIS time. The argument is for all beaches, this thread just happens to be about PNP. It could be any other beach and the points are the same.
If it was an actual low key beach listed, I would have kept quiet and sent a PM asking them to edit the name, etc.
20,000 gallons of raw sewage was flowing around Manchester and the beach was closed this weekend. "Something special in the water". How about that for a face slapper.
Lol, one of my first posts to this forum was reporting about some good fishing at another well-known beach. I quickly learned my lesson and stick to PM's about specific locations.
Ha, touché. Hadn't heard about that. Wow
Another way to deal with your fave spot.
Once on another forum one of my fave spots was up for discussion.
I then replied to every other thread on page one and the first one on page two. This pushed "my" spot onto the second page and it was never commented on again.
Yea man....swinging up some major steel at Tinkham!
Bring a stout rod though, and one you can get the distance with....I would suggest bringing the Death Star.
Swinging flies with a 2 hander at Tinkham is so 2013
