thanks guys. like I said, I really was laughing out loud. Scott may have heard me from the parking lot. besides the brown, I caught 9 other rainbows and missed at least that many. If you were layered up right, it was not cold at all.
BTW, my biggest brown came from Lenice about 6 years ago and it is the fish in my avitar. yesterdays fish was a little bit smaller. I am still going thru the battle in my head.
will be back in two weeks

Man! Nice brown! There can't be too many more of those left in there, but the ones that are probably look like that. What has in been now, three years since they stopped stocking browns and tigers?

    Holy guacamole !!!!

I agree with whoever said the picture does do it justice. Really glad you had a camera. When I look at the fish picture and then look at the boat picture and see the net, it really says it all. That fish is taking up the entire length of that net. What an absolutely beautiful fish.

And to think he is still swimming around. Makes my heart glad for our catch and release community.

Great fish! Nice reward for toughing it out.

Great story! Amazing and enviable fish. Loved reading and the pictures. My hat is off to the toughness!

I'm still super miffed about them not planting browns and tigers anymore in Lenice. Really a special fishery to make less of for awfully dubious rationale in my opinion.

Nice job though! Love it while we can!

    Hi Robl,

Can you relate to us why that decision was made? I looked for a reason online and couldn't find it, just curious from your post.

Any idea as to how the browns planted in Blue Lake did from several years ago? Hope that's not a secret.
