Afte I bought it, I spent a couple hours gleaning info from old speypages posts and found that Riveraddict recommended 480-490gr total weight for a skagit setup including tips. So I used a Rio 400gr head and a cut down tip. Also used 360 and 390gr Airflo compact scandis which worked pretty good 360 felt better for 2HOH.
Riveraddict characterized the stick as 6/7 butt power with a 5wt tip feel. It's pretty soft but has the backbone to deal with larger fish. I've caught some nice searuns on it swinging in tidal currents which might be my very favorite way to fish.
