Still lots of fish moving down the west side of whidbey island. My dad limited: 3 pinks + 1 nice coho. I should have limited - went 1/6, but the fish I landed was also a coho. Big schools of pinks moving through in waves. We were fishing in shallow water (about 10 feet deep). At one point I looked over the stern just as a huge pod moved through right under the boat. Plan to go out again tomorrow after the Seahawks game.
Went out off a beach on the west side of Whidbey Friday. Went 2-2 with a pink and a coho. My fishing bud went 1-1 with a huge pink landed. He released it just due to the hope it could spread its good genes.
Saw a school of 50+ coho swim under the boat yesterday off of Whidbey. Caught 3 coho trolling and 9 casting, the ratio of coho to pinks has improved dramatically in the last week.
