Is it groundhogs day AGAIN?!?!?
yes all patterns must be tied with groundhogs fur
Hmmmmm.... that's going to be a little tough. I don't know any shops that stock groundhog fur and we don't see much in the way of road kill groundhogs in the NW.
I bet Hans has some "squirreled" away somewhere
Are there groundhogs in The Netherlands?
I can't believe this isn't common knowledge.
No only in Pennsylvania,
The nail section of the Ellensburg Rite Aide is a good place to get fly fishing tips
I've heard Ovis is buying out Sally Hansen...
Ok... that made me laugh my ass off...
Since I went with dries last time, thought I'd try a soft hackle emerger.
Riseform, Nice softie. What hakle is that?
Sorry, folks, I know I haven't given this thread the attention it deserves. I arrived at my summer job in West Yellowstone on the 15th. Started setting up the fly shop for the season. Wound up in the hospital in Bozeman with Pneumonia. Am now back in WA, just released from the VA hospital at American Lake. I'll try to do better.
Wow, Ron, hope you're on the mend! A number of my co-workers ended up with pneumonia during the last month. Mean bug out there.
Sorry to hear about the pneumonia, that's always scary when it requires hospitalization. I'm glad you're out and improving. Is a summer job in W. Yellowstone a new thing or have you always done that?
As for the hackle, I wish I could give you and honest answer. It was not pulled from a skin, but instead from an unmarked ziplock bag of loose "partridge" soft hackle feathers that I've had for so long I can't remember where or when they were purchased.
