    Hello all-
I made the drive down to Merrill Sunday afternoon and it was well worth the trip.
after letting the wind blow me down to the island I set up camp and headed back up the shoreline a couple hundred yards and began seriously fishing at about 6:30 PM.
I caught the first and best fish of the night (22-ish" Brown) took the fly about 5 feet from the shoreline, fortunately Mr. Eagle was too intent on watching a group closer to the launch and left me and the fish alone.
As usual the big bugs really started coming off at around 8:30 and their were fish feeding like crazy for about an hour. CnR'd at least a dozen 10-14" Rainbows and Cut-Bows.
By 10:00 it was all over and the crappy weather was enroute, I awoke at 4:30 to wind and rain and a long paddle back with the elements in my face.
    Still good times!
