great, glad they made it on time...
I got 12 sets, they will be out monday...
Can't wait to try them out. Will be like Christmas in January.
I'm still thinking what I want to tie for a streamer.
Currently looking at some Cutthroat patterns out of one of Mr. Johnsons books.
Excellent, a good begining to what promises to be a great swap. Looking forward to seeing everyones patterns.
Flies will be out in the am. I have pictures in my gallery until a new gallery is created.
All the flies look great. Some spooked me when I opened the mail.... amazingly buggy...
Thanks everyone for getting things in on-time. I have collected $70 for MVT, if you haven't sent it yet please do next month ($10).
Without sounding like a nag we did have a few problems.... 1) no return postage 2) less than 12 flies... if you didn't get one of your own you were short, makes it much easier for me if you send 12 flies 3) no toe tags (public humiliation on this one as I have no intention of making them for you)
If it happens again "I will be crackin skulls!!"
Great work from everyone,
Pics look great, can't wait to see the real things. Now to settle on a streamer.
Nice pictures, I can't wait to try them out. Still pondering what to tie for the streamer category. So many choices...........:hmmm:
Hey Folks, Those are some great looking flies you all turned in for the first round of this swap. Excellent work by everyone. Crack that whip, Ned.
Flies should be showing in the mail in the next day or two or three.
I think I might have committed a federal offence when I answered "no" to the animal parts question, but oh well.
Sharpshooter223, I am holding on to your flies until the end of feb. I hope that was what you wanted. If not let me know and I will send you the nymphs.
Next deadline is four weeks away, early doesn't hurt. I am half done with my muddlers....
best swap master ever he even talks shit...hilarious. i'm working on a jig nasty right now... pine squirrel anyone
I'm more then half done with my Coney Mudlers. It's been a year since I've spun deer hair, so the first few were a little rusty. I was wishing I did buggers after 6..... I weighted them well for spring run off.
Flies just arrived. They all look great.
Flies arrived in the mail today. What a great bunch of bugs!! I guess I better get going on those streamers. Ned's a pushy, hard-driving, task master.
Very impressive flies everyone. Thank you. Even the toe tags are professionally done.
For those that haven't fished a shop vac, that simple fly has out fished any nymph in my box over the past four years.
Ned, my Sheila sculpins will be mailed tomorrow.
Don't overlook the Dress Down Nymph. It will catch fish!!! Trust me!
In case anyone is interested in tying some up, here is the recipe:

Antennae: Pearl Krystal Flash.
Hackle: Hungarian partridge back feather.
