    Parisalexander,

I live in Vermont as Lugan stated. You interested in the Steffen? It is a beautiful rod. I have two identical and plan on using one for east coast striper fishing.

    David,

I am in the same group as you. I just retired from the USCG and this would be a great present to myself, but if I did well I think I would be in BIG BIG trouble.

We are beginning our move back to Indiana tomorrow so wish I could just get it and put it next my others and say, I always had it!

William - as many have said, thank you for your service. I have, and have had, many "coastie" friends. Enjoy your retirement & don't let anyone inspect your closet.

    Bill,

Well for me it will be winter time. I will be leaving tomorrow for Indiana and will be planning hopefully a January or February trip to come back and fish with my brother.

I wanted to get over before I left but time went to fast.

    William

Sorry for smothering this post. I will move it!!!

Some here may not recognize that Mike is one of the top builders anywhere. Others may not be familiar with Steffen, and the fact that this rod will feel livelier than an 8 (or probably even 7) while fighting fish. Killer deal, I am just flush with this weight or I'd have scratched up enough change by now. I'm still angsting though.

Thanks for the bump David. I am pretty astonished this rod hasn't sold. The only reason I have it up for sale is that I have two of the exact same builds. Any bamboo, glass angler that fishes the salt knows the caliber of rod this is. Graphite anglers that want to fish a rod with power and yet have a bunch of fun fighting a fish, this would be the rod.
