Nice photos everyone! I've posted this pic in a different thread, but here it is again.

I got a suggestion that I personalize my messages, so here is a photo I shot in July, of a boat coming down the upper Yakima. I was up on the bike trail at the time, but I'd rather have been down in that boat. This is my first attempt to post a photo. Hope it works.

What a great thread. Found a view of Mt Hood that I hadn't seen before. I was way up on a logging road riding my dual sport.

Two pics from across the pond. This is the Aniene, about 45 miles from Rome.

Kennethinrome, nice addition to a great thread. I love the enclosed tightness of the brush cover on your little Aniene. I bet that is a tactical caster's dream. At my casting skill level I tend to struggle in tight quarters like that, but I always seek them out. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment balanced with that cozy feel of nature all around me.

Mumbles, exactly why it's my favorite trout stream! This is the C&R stretch of the river. The water is gin clear, hardly any space for overhead back casts -- most of the time I'm side casting along the stream or at a slight angle to it -- the trout are wild and canny, what else can you ask for as an angling challenge?

Like you, I like to have to sit and think out my fishing. I fish the Aniene with a Diamondback Flawless 8' 3wt, DT line and furled leader with a 4lb tippet, and the satisfaction is doubled when you finally present the fly just so and see the trout inspect AND take it.

    Cheers,
    Kenneth
