great report and great pics! glad to see spuds mckenzie is alive and well.
Alpine lakes are the best.
Great report and great pics. My wife had a Bull Terrier several years back. They are great dogs.
What was the name of that lake? I missed it in your TR.
Good catch Allison, I had failed to connect those dots.
If it's ten miles in and holds four species including Bulls, there's a pretty good chance it's Waptus, but I'm sure he will tell us, because information on what high lakes have what fish in them should be dispersed as far and wide as possible, according to the author. Sure looks like Wappie from the picture.
Irony is that Wappie's so big and deep that it would be tough to fish it out.
Smart dog...prefers fish to snuff!
So, lemme get this straight... this time he doesn't name the lake, either for personal preference or because he realized others disapprove of that. Then Allison goes ahead and names it out of spite?
You sure proved your point Allison, way to take the high road.
If I've misunderstood then by all means correct me, but it sure seems tough to take you seriously if you really just named the lake out of spite.
We should give a loud and long thanks to the Trailblazers for hoofing those trout in. It's hot, sweaty work and done by volunteers.
Do you have some specific information stating the reason bull trout are ESA listed in some waters is a direct result of over fishing?
I didn't do it out of spite. Spite is so not in my nature. Waptus Lake is 246 acres big, very deep, 10+ miles from the TH (actually I thought the main way in was missing a key bridge), and it's good that people know it has Bulls in it so they ID very carefully IMO.
I did think it was pretty damn funny that the OP was not naming the lake given his proclivity elsewhere on this forum for attacking people for wanting to keep impacts negligable on small lakes with tender riparian areas.
All the bitching on here is making my riparian area tender.
Alpine lakes are great, but in this heat I'm not even hiking my ass out to the mailbox.
