    Hey Gang,

So I got a job teaching high school in Wapato, the girlfriend and I found a pretty sweet house to rent in Naches and we will be making the move next weekend.

Needless to say I am really excited to explore the fishing opportunities in this area. I'm super cracked out on steelhead right now, but I am really looking forward to getting into some trout on the Yak, Naches, Tieton, Bumping Rivers...especially the Naches River as it will be about five minutes from my door.

I was hoping some of the locals in the Yakima Valley area might be interested in meeting up and going fishing sometime.

    Cheers,

    Jason

Awesome, Welcome to the area Jason. Let me know when you've got settled in and I'll love to get out on the water with ya. BTW what subjects are you teaching? I teach as well, 5-10 science and 7/8th homeroom.

Good for you teaching in Wapato. My mother has taught kindergarten there for 35 years and I have an uncle who teaches Phys Ed at the high school. Have fun exploring the Naches area, lots of great fishing opportunities and beautiful as well.

I graduated from Wapato High School in the late 90's. I have fond memories of WHS and had some teachers who really made a difference in my life. I hope you enjoy teaching there. Go Wolves.

Thanks for the kind words everybody! I will certainly be hitting you guys up once I'm settled in.

Randru, I'll be teaching English for 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades, and one period of Film (an elective). I will not be teaching at Wapato High School, I'll actually be teaching at PACE Alternative High School which is about two blocks away.

McNasty...lead and I will surely follow with a cold sixer.
