Probably marketing drivel but I read that the buffs made from bamboo (or hemp?) fibers were cooler in hot weather and breath easier. I bought one but haven't used it yet.

You probably don't have a puffy jacket either :)

A fun bonus is that you can drink your fluids through the Buff without pulling it out of the way.

Gross! Not through my buff, my official winter snot collector.
My buff is red paisley, which I'm certain would get me shot in certain parts of Oakland. I like to wear it over my ears when the wind howls, keeps me from getting that windblown headache. I wish it fit a little looser around the neck, feels like wearing a tie on the river.

Yeah, I wouldnt recommend drinking throught it then. But you're right about the windblown headaches, really seems to help with it.

I do have a puffy jacket. I can't say that I've sported the buff over my face and the puffy jacket together though. It seems the weather conditions thus far have been mutually exclusive.

Puffy jacket is another terrible look that serves its purpose supremely. I don't know of another garment that is as warm and light. I have a mountain hardwear version but I feel like they're all pretty much the same and all look equally stupid.
