Been looking on the site for a while. Great info from everyone on here. Live in Kitsap County, and enjoy fishing rivers primarily. Cannot seem to get enough time to get out with the kids' sports, school, etc. Hope i can gain some more knowledge and maybe pass on the couple things i DO know
Welcome neighbor! I too live in Kitsap but mostly target our saltwater beaches. Moved up here from Tacoma about 2 years ago and absolutely love the area due to all the fishin' opportunities!
Thanks!! I have never fly fished in the salt!! Always wanted to try but just stuck with the rivers because I do ok there looking at getting a new 9 ft 5wt rod since mine is broke, because I was told it would work good for salt as well. Was never sure about what tides, times, etc. to do the salt thing. Want to start, hoping I can find enough info on here to get me started!!
Oooh.....it's about time for silvers and humpies (a few showing already) and then the chum will show up! I've been tied up lately with "honey-dos" but hope to hit one of our beaches next week! There's plenty of info on this site about fishin' the saltchuck and if you have questions all you have to do is post 'em. Folks are more than happy to help!!
