UW & Western WA coming a quarter or so short of an accounting-business degree. Think I needed a statistic class, audit class, advanced accounting and a bulls shit class to get my degree.
Said screw it with school and went to the school of fishing...Charter boats at Westport and then the school of getting my ass kicked in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands for over 30 years. Still doing that...still learning. When I'm home and have to drive the freeway from Tacoma to Seattle I think THANK GOD I don't work in the real world.

Chabot Junior College, Hayward California 1970....wait they did not give me a piece of paper.....thank god, Berkeley did!

University of California at Berkeley 1972.

My shinning moment was flunking my graduate oral exam in 1981. After passing classes, writing my paper, and then flunking my oral exam!! If you saw the picture the Graduate....it was THAT good!.

They said, "you have been out of school for four years come back for a quarter and take your exams over again". My response..."I flunked fair and square. I live in Idaho now.....are you nuts?......why would I come back to California?".

Yeah, well, good luck with that. If you went after mine I can honestly tell you the crime is not worth the time, 'cause there isn't even enough money in it to make the 10% needed for bond if you got caught.

I drink very little so I didn't spend any time in there...but it is no more. I forget when it closed. Two or three years ago or so. Seems like I remember the VD Clinic (Vista del Mar) in Eureka CA being kind of like the Elbow Room. I've been in both and by far the Elbow Room is the winner. Not sure if the Vista del Mar is around anymore either.
