A pattern by Davie McPhail
Also known as the "Two Feather Fly"
And tying instructions
I like it, how does it hold up?
She's a beauty!
I have not fished them yet as not the right time of year but would imagine they would get battered pretty easy but due to them being simple to tie you can rattle off a good box full.
Thanks for the links
Sweet pattern (and good for old, shaky guys with failing eyesight, lol.). Thanks.
Like the tail...clever way to create technique. Thanks for sharing.
There was one like this called the "Hatchmatcher" back in the 70's.
Nice, I think I'll tie up 20 or 30 of those in a size 20 or 22 for a tail water midge imitation
Made my third fly ever yesterday. It was fun and helping me learn.
