I just received a press release from Spirit River. They'll be including this product in their new catalog. I know Hareline tried something similar a number of years ago but the kit only included enough materials for a few flies. These kits are much larger, plus you get a DVD with the kit that shows you how to tie the patterns.

If you're interested, please check out one of the WFF fly shop sponsors as most fly shops can order from Spirit River if they don't have the product in stock.

I wish they had these available when I first started tying flies:

Good to see this Gene, I agree would have been nice many years ago. This should help out a lot of folks interested in getting started, depending on price ? Thanks for posting this.

Ya, but it took 50 flies before I got anywhere near 'good at it"...
    they're gonna need a bigger kit. :)

$17 (plus you have to supply thread) for a kit that provides material for 24 flies (or at least the kit provides 24 hooks, 12 for saltwater patterns), and they throw in a video to boot. I wonder if they allow for a bit of waste/overage on hackle for the dries? Regardless, it sounds like a decent deal.
