At one time there was a five fish limit for trout with ONLY two over 17 inches.

I went looking through the regulations today and could not find any reference to two over 17 inches.

So was this rule dropped in recent years??

Isn't it a lake dependent thing? I know of a few put and take lakes that are like that.

I think Gary is right, lake dependent. I also know a few that still have that regulation in place. My favorite lake has an even odder one. Three trout, only one over eighteen inches. Catch and release only March-June.

People don't follow the rules anyway. I fished Kitsap Lake in Bremerton yesterday. The rule there is 5 fish with two over 14 inches. Two guys came in next to the boat launch and I saw their 10 trout, all over 14 inches. I released all my trout, so next time they can KILL THEM TOO!!!!
