Weather is looking good for Saturday, I guess it time to go try my luck with an indicator !
Try drifting clouser patterns that imitate a rainbow fry which average 1.5 to 2 inches. Tight lines!
I have some of those but they are a bit smaller, but ill give those a try.
You may also want to get some or tie some crayfish patterns. Work great in lakes that have crayfish. Really works great in Montana rivers!
Did you have any luck with the fry patterns?
I caught only 1 but it was a beautiful fish about 17-18 inches.
I’ve seen plenty of ‘yabbies’ as we call them in Aus around the shallows of Pass Lake... but so far no luck with crawfish patterns there.
Try a shiner pattern...
I fished it last weekend.
I tried a crayfish pattern from the boat around the shallower areas near the boat launch, no luck.
Also trolled a"Ross Lake Shiner" pattern from the confluence fly shop, which was a killer fly up at Ross lake, but no love for that at Pass either.
The only love I got was on a woolly bugger.
