Arrived late (10:30am), on-shore cloud cover and light wind. Rowed to the Rocks to see if there were any callibaetis. Nada. Switched to what I think of as 'the Lockhart method' (Type V sinking line, #10 HB leach; aggressive retrieve) and moved out over the Shoal. 11 rainbows in the next two hours, ranging from 12" to 17", averaging 13-14". Didn't see or hear an eagle until 1pm. Joey must have taken the girls out last night. Full sun by 1:30pm; went to the Spit to see what was going on there. Nice morning!
