Rough day for me Saturday, just one small one in a couple hours, called it quits.
Water temp was still warm on the surface 53 degrees.
What's been a 'good' day fishing this year here? 3 fish? 10 fish? 20+?
I've chased big browns and big cutthroat busting bait balls. It usually looks like sprinkles of rain from a distance, but you see the wakes when you get closer. I've also chased stripers busting bait. Very similar, but much more violent. It still haunts my dreams.
Had a tough couple of cold days on Pass. Hit the lake about 0930 on Friday. Cold and the lake was like glass. Only managed two to the net. Two other on the lake and they did better than me pounding the shore on the east end of the second bay by the road.
Saturday was pretty much a repeat for me. One of the fly shops had a stillwater class group on the lake - about (12) others. A couple of regulars did okay at the far end from the launch.
Water temp was 46-47.
If was tough weather for camping...... The night time fire was nice.

Scott sorry to miss you up there, I couldn't go up till yesterday. Big change from a week prior and they were definitely laying low to adjust. Btw was that you drinking the Jubilale?
The fish do not stop eating during the algae bloom and likely the algae bloom is a good thing for the fishing. Algae blooms like the ones up at Pass are only a few feet deep, and under that the fish are happily eating away without fear of the monsters from above.
