Made it up to Pass Lake today with my brother-in-law. We were on the water from about 8:30 to 2:30. It was a wet one with a pretty steady rain all day, but that didn't seem to slow the fishing. Started out kicking around with leaches (olive and black) right on the bottom, slow, with frequent speed changes, starts and stops and twitches. Ended up landing 6 rainbows, smallest was around 14" and the biggest 21". Action was the best along the shelf from the road over to the point on the other side. Also lost a few others that were pigs (aren't they always when they come unbuttoned?). Also tried chrono'in with a red snow cone and a bloodworm dropper. Did OK with 2 rainbows and 2 browns, all good size from 18 to 21". All took the bloodworm... I was in about 10' of water over past the road near the "big log". There was not much feeding activity in the shallows so we did not do much stripping of minnows this time out, but did try it for 1/2 hour or so and landed one 17" rainbow. All in all a good day with 11 fish total. My brother in law had similar results, landing a total of 12 fish. So 23 fish to the net was our final tally. :beer2:
A couple other guys on the water... not sure how they did...
Yeah I was just up there, threw streamers to the bank the whole time. I had a follow right off the bat, and then I had a fish eat but no hook up, and saw a couple others. My poor results on pass continue, I cant seem to get it right, although at least I saw fish this time. Not to mention the hour of stop and go bumper to bumper around everett I just went through.
Also, if anybody goes up there, I left my measure net at the pull off on the road about 2 hours ago, pm me if you pick it and I will reward you with some flies... thanks

I was at Pass with Skewy and had a great day catching 11+ fish including a 22" buck. Had one other fish around 17" the rest were 15" or smaller. Great day for dragging a leech around. I use a pattern I tie appropriatly called "The General". When I tie on this leech and it Never fails to raise some interest. We use a class III sinking line called a Still Water and I try to keep the line about 10-15 feet deep. Try to stay in water 10'-18' deep, change direction often, be prepared when the bottom structure changes from deep to shallow,or shallow to deep. To keep the fly down I usually have most of my line out, and I barely move. Here is a picture of the big one I caught, and the fly I was using.
I hit Pass lake on saturday and sunday, both days were excellent, my friend flew up from Arizona
he has very little expierence fly fishing, on sat. I caught 14 fish mostly small stockers and he
caught 3 or 4 fish, on sunday we got away from the crowd and fished in deeper water, awesome
decision, almost all of the fish caught were big fish, from 18-21 inches, and my buddy caught a
22 inch Brown, I thought he was going to shit himself.....All fish caught were on chronnies
Friday night I tied up some size 18 brown chronnies, with a gold rib and gold bead head, those were
the ticket.....all in all a very good weekend
